Bringing live theatre to Southwest Georgia for 91 seasons!
Welcome to Theatre Albany!
Nestled among the pecan groves and cotton fields of southwest Georgia, Theatre Albany has been a cultural cornerstone since 1932. As the oldest and one of the most respected cultural organizations in Albany, we offer a wide variety of performances, from Broadway hits to original works.
In 1964, Theatre Albany moved into the historic home of Captain John A. Davis, a stunning antebellum building listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. This charming venue, with over 300 seats, hosts year-round productions that entertain and inspire audiences of all ages.
Driven by volunteers, Theatre Albany is dedicated to fostering a love for the arts by providing opportunities for both seasoned and aspiring performers. Join us and experience the magic of live theatre in downtown Albany!
